  6.        LICENSE AGREEMENT

  8.        You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  9.        before  using  this  software.   Unless you have a different
  10.        license agreement signed by the copyright holder,  your  use
  11.        of this software indicates acceptance of this license agree-
  12.        ment and warranty.

  14.        EVALUATION AND REGISTRATION

  16.        This is not free software.  You are hereby licensed  to  use
  17.        this  software  for evaluation purposes without charge for a
  18.        period of 21 days.  If you use this software  after  the  21
  19.        day  evaluation  period,  a registration fee of 15 (fifteen)
  20.        dollars U.S., or 10 (ten) pounds Sterling, is required.  The
  21.        quickest  and  easiest way to register is via the CompuServe
  22.        Shareware Registration Database (GO SWREG); the Registration
  23.        ID for WinXs is 7400.

  25.        Alternatively, you can use the order form  included  in  the
  26.        file  REGISTER.TXT.   Payment  can be made by cheque or cash

  37.        When registering WinXs, you should include your name, postal
  38.        address  and  email  address (if possible) on all correspon-
  39.        dance.

  41.        Acknowledgment of registration, your WinXs  Registration  ID
  42.        and  a  copy  of  the  User Reference Manual will be emailed
  43.        immediately on receipt of registration notification  (either
  44.        by  CompuServe or when the post arrives).  This acknowledge-
  45.        ment should be retained  in  a  safe  place  as  it  may  be
  46.        required  to receive further product updates (free of charge
  47.        to registered users).

  49.        Unregistered use of WinXs after the 21-day evaluation period
  50.        is in violation of U.S. and International copyright laws.

  52.        DISTRIBUTION

  54.        You are hereby licensed  to  make  as  many  copies  of  the
  55.        Shareware  version of this software and documentation as you
  56.        wish; give exact copies of the original Shareware version to
  57.        anyone; and distribute the Shareware version of the software
  58.        and documentation in  its  unmodified  form  via  electronic
  59.        means.  There is no charge for any of the above.

  61.        You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting
  62.        donations,  for any such copies, however made; and from dis-
  63.        tributing the software and/or documentation with other  pro-

  70.        REGISTERED VERSION

  72.        One registered copy of WinXs may either be used by a  single
  73.        person  who uses the software personally on one or more com-
  74.        puters, or installed on a single workstation used  nonsimul-
  75.        taneously by multiple people, but not both.

  77.        You may access the registered version  of  WinXs  through  a
  78.        network, provided that you have obtained individual licenses
  79.        for the software covering all workstations that will  access
  80.        the  software  through the network.  For instance, if 8 dif-
  81.        ferent workstations will access WinXs on the  network,  each
  82.        workstation  must  have its own WinXs license, regardless of
  83.        whether they use WinXs at different times or concurrently.

  87.        THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE  SOLD  "AS  IS"
  88.        AND  WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY
